About This Tour
Your cruise begins at Kumarakom, where you'll board a traditional Kerala houseboat and be greeted with refreshing welcome drinks. After a brief orientation, the boat sets sail at noon, taking you across the expansive Vembanad Lake – one of the largest lakes in India and a designated Ramsar wetland site.
As you cruise through R Block, enjoy a freshly prepared traditional Kerala lunch onboard while watching the scenic landscape drift by. The afternoon journey takes you through a network of picturesque canals including C Block and Kainakeri, where palm trees line the waterways and village life unfolds along the banks.
Continue through the serene Muttethodu Canal and Irumbana Canal, where the narrow waterways bring you closer to authentic rural Kerala. As evening approaches, cruise through Punchiri Thodu before anchoring near Alleppey for an overnight stay under the stars, with the gentle sounds of the backwaters as your lullaby.
The next morning, after a hearty breakfast prepared by the onboard cook, resume your cruise at 8:00 AM for a final morning journey through the backwaters. Conclude your voyage at the famous Alleppey Punnamada Jetty at 9:45 AM – the very jetty that hosts the renowned Nehru Trophy Boat Race.
