Itinerary (Day-wise)

On arrival at Thiruvananthapuram airport our representative having a placard displaying your name will meet you to pick you up and transfer to hotel. On arrival check in to your hotel. After fresh n up proceed for a half day city tour of Trivandrum. Today you will visit The Padmanabha Swamy Temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu known for its mural paintings and stone carvings is among the 108 sacred Vishnu temples in India. Located near the Sree Padmanabha Swamy Temple is Kuthiramalika (Puthenmalika) Palace Museum. This rare specimen of workmanship in the traditional Travancore style of architecture has exquisite wood carvings. The palace museum displays paintings and various priceless collections of the royal family. Another important place to visit is the Napier Museum, built in the 19th century, the Indo - saracenic structure boasts a "natural" air conditioning system and houses a rare collection of archaeological and historic artifacts, bronze idols, ancient ornaments, a temple chariot and ivory carvings. Located near the Napier Museum is the Sree Chithra Art Gallery, this art gallery displays select paintings of Raja Ravi Varma, Svetlova and Nicholas Roerich and exquisite works from the Rajput, Mughal and Tanjore schools of art in India. The collection also includes paintings from China, Japan, Tibet and Bali. You can also visit Shankhumugham Beach: Just 8 km from the city, this is a favourite haunt of sunset watchers. This Morning after breakfast you will be transferred to Kovalam. On arrival check in to your hotel. Kovalam is known as the “Paradise of the South”. The beauty and serenity of Kovalam with excellent accommodations, ayurvedic massage parlors, yoga centres and water sport facilities attract thousands of tourists from all over the world. The crescent-shaped beaches of Kovalam can be divided in three parts. The southernmost and the most popular beach is the Lighthouse Beach. Further south on the beach you can have a spectacular view of the Vizhinzam mosque. The middle beach is called Hawah. Each morning this beach acts as a base for the local fisherman. The northern most beach, Samudra, is least affected of all by the changing times. It is dotted with few rudimentary wooden fishing vessels. Today indulge yourself in the beauty of the tiny beach. You can go for swimming and bathing at kovalam, it will be an exhilarating experience and if you go for snorkeling, you can get wonderful views of underwater coral reefs. This morning after breakfast you will be transferred to Kollam. Enroot visit Varkala regarded as one of the finest beaches of Kerala. It is said that Varkala provides one of the best sunset views anywhere in the world. Varkala is also a center of Hindu pilgrimage. Visit the 800 years old Janardhanaswamy temple atop the hill is dedicated to Lord Ayyappan and Hanuman. Non-Hindus are not permitted to enter the inner sanctum but can hang around the temple. Spend some time on the Varkala beach and continue drive to Kollam. Enjoy this scenic coastal drive. The Coastal Road from Varkala to Kollam connects Edava Beach, Kappil Beach, Paravoor Beach, Pozhikara Beach, Thanni Beach and finally to Kollam Brach. These are unique, less crowded and unexplored beaches. On arrival at Kovalam check in to your hotel. After fresh n up visit Ashtamudi Lake surrounded by lush green trees and swaying coconut palms. This 16 kms long lake is the second largest lake in Kerala. You can enjoy optional boating in the lake. You can also visit the Ananda Valleswaram Temple. In the evening visit the 144 ft Thangassery Light House, built in 1902, Mahatma Gandhi beach & park at Kochupilamoodu just 2 Km from the Kollam town. This morning after breakfast you will be transferred to Alleppey popularly referred to as “Venice of the East”. On arrival check-in to the traditional houseboat for Back Water Cruise. We are sure that it will be a unique experience in your life. No tourist can go away from Alappuzha without taking a cruise along the backwaters in a traditional houseboat. The houseboats complete with well-furnished bedrooms, a kitchen and a bathroom. There are drivers and a cook on board. Kumarakom is one of the 10 best preferred destinations in India for tourism. The village comprises of cluster of small islands on the famous lake called Vembanad Lake. Kumarakom is an enchanting backwater destination to visit After check in at hotel visit Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary, the best time for this is between November and March, when a range of migratory birds from Siberia make it their winter home. Some of the species include the Snake bird Little Cormorant, Crow Pleasant, White-branded water Hen and Tree pie. Occasionally you can catch the native kingfishers setting the waters ablaze in a psychedelic flash of colours. The night herons, the Golden-backed woodpeckers are added delights. This morning after breakfast you will be transferred to Cochin. On arrival check in to your hotel. After fresh n up proceed for Cochin City Tour. Your sightseeing will include Kerala Folklore Museum, Fort Kochi beach, The Chinese Fishing Nets, Santa Cruz Basilica, Mattancherry Palace or Dutch Palace & Jewish Synagogue. Start your trip back in time at the Kerala Folklore Museum spread over three floors exhibiting three different architectural styles, the museum houses around 4000 artifacts. These artifacts offer insights into the cultural uniqueness that exists among various regions of India, especially in South India. After visiting the museum experience tranquility at Ernakulathappan Temple the abode of Lord Shiva, who is regarded as the presiding deity of the city. Spend some moments in the tranquil setting of the temple and enjoy the beauty of traditional Kerala temple architecture. Later, visit Fort Kochi Beach and see Chinese fishing nets. you can see rows of gigantic Chinese fishing nets suspended over the sea as fishermen go about working on them. The name Fort Kochi is a misnomer. It is neither a fortified structure nor a walled city but a quaint locality in Kochi with unparalleled colonial vibes. European-style buildings, majestic churches, artsy cafes, Dutch bungalows, and manor-like houses render Fort Kochi the look and feel of a small and picturesque town in the western world. Here you can visit Santa Cruz Basilica, Indo – Portuguese Museum, Francis Church and Dutch Cemetery. All these attractions are located within walking distance of each other and take you on a trip down the lane of history. While Santa Cruz Basilica captivates you with its spellbinding Gothic architecture, the Indo – Portuguese Museum offers deep insights into the Portuguese influence on the city. St. Francis Church, another one of the famous, is known for its aesthetic beauty. History has it that Portuguese explorer Vasco da Gama’s body was kept buried here for 14 years before it was taken to Lisbon. The Dutch Cemetery, bathed in greenery and serenity, makes for an exquisite sigh. The Dutch Palace: The Dutch Palace was originally built by the Portuguese. Later, in 17th century, the Dutch modified it and presented to the Raja (King) of Kochi. Coronation of many Kings of Kochi was held here. The place has a fine collection of mural paintings depicting the scenes from the Hindu epics Mahabharatha and Ramayana. Jewish Synagogue: The synagogue, magnificently decorated by Chinese tiles and Belgian chandeliers, was built in 1568. Giant scrolls of the Old Testament can be found here. This morning after breakfast you will be transferred to Guruvayoor. Guruvayoor is an important pilgrimage site famous for Sree Krishna Swamy Temple. On arrival check in to your hotel. After fresh n up visit Sree Krishna Swamy Temple dedicated to Lord Krishana dates back to 16th century. Also visit Mammiyoor Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is not only a visiting place for the devotees, but also a temple worth visiting by ordinary visitors. You can also visit Punnathur Kotah, an utterly captivating place indeed is a lovely elephant sanctuary attached to the Sree Krishna Temple. The open green area is the home of around 55 temple elephants. This evening visit Chavakkad Beach. The beauty of the beach and its mesmerizing atmosphere is an experience you should not miss. This morning after breakfast you will be transferred to Kohzikode formely known as Calicut. Vasco Da Gama landed here in AD 1498 and was the first to discover the trade route to India. Although a busy commercial town today, there is a lot to visit in Kozhikode. The tranquil beaches, hills, backwater, wildlife sanctuaries and the places of worship. After fresh n up visit Kappad Beach 16 km from Kozhikode is the place where Vasco Da Gama landed on May 27, AD 1498. There a temple on the beach dated back to 13th century. Also visit the Pazhassiraja Museum and Art Gallery and the Kozhikode Beach in the evening. Kozhikode Beach has many attractions and it is the perfect place to watch the sun set. Return back to hotel. This morning after breakfast you will be transferred to Mangalore a convenient and pleasant stop between Kerala & Goa. Just before entering the city visit Someshwara Beach and the Ullal beach. Ullal coast is all covered with abundant trees and plantations. The view of the waves will make you go crazy with all its beauty. The beach is also an excellent spot for water sports and activities that you can enjoy. On arrival check in to your hotel. Rest of the day is free at your leisure. This morning after breakfast you will proceed for half day city tour of Mangalore. Main attractions of the city are Sultan Battery, Mangaladevi Temple, Bejai Museum, Kudroli Gokarnanatha Temple, St Aloysius College Chapel, Kadri Manjunatha Temple & Kadri Park. By afternoon you will be transferred to the pilgrimage town of Udupi. Enroot visit Panambur Beach Mangalore and Kapu beach Udupi. Kapu has a lovely beach, a ruined fort and an old 10 feet high light house. On arrival check in to your hotel. In the evening visit the famous Udupi Srikrishana Temple. This morning after breakfast visit Hasta Shilpa Heritage Village Manipal the brainchild of late Mr. Vijayanath Shenoy known as Shenoy's Museum. It is an open-air museum and cultural complex which aims to restore and conserve the nation's cultural wealth in the form of traditional buildings and objects of art, craft and other artefacts of aesthetic interest. It has several traditional houses and shrines and also many galleries of art, crafts, textiles, utensils, tools, furniture and toys. Today, Hasta Shilpa Heritage Village draws the attention of serious scholars of art and architecture from all over India and around the world. Over the last two decades, the Trust has relocated and restored 26 structures of immense architectural merit and fine craftsmanship. It is, indeed, a veritable treasure trove. Later visit Malpe Beach and St. Marry’s Island. St. Mary's isles are group of islands accessible by ferry from Malpe Beach. It is noted for its famous basalt rocks, which have crystallized into columns and split into hexagonal mosaic. Perhaps, this is the only spot in India where basaltic rocks show up such peculiar formations. Thereafter proceed to Murudeshwar a unique beach with a dash of religious flavour. Enroot you will visit Marawanthe beach. On arrival check in to your hotel. After fresh n up visit the famous Shri Murudeshwara Temple a shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is one of the must-visit spots of the region. The temple features the second-highest statue of Lord Shiva from all over the world surrounded by the beautiful landscapes of the Arabian Sea on all sides. This morning after breakfast you will be transferred to Gokarna famous for its beautiful virgin beaches and breathtaking landscapes. The drive to Gokarna is a panoramic with the mountains and rocks, Western Ghats on one side and the Arabian Sea on the other. Enroot you can visit Mirjan Fort. Mirjan Fort is a majestic masterpiece of architecture that one can find standing gloriously on the banks of Aghanashini River. The fort has many historical events associated with it which makes it a delight for history buffs in Gokarna. On arrival check in at hotel. This afternoon you will visit the Mahabaleshwara Temple and the main Gokarna Beach. Also visit Gokarna’s five famed beaches, The Om beach-in the shape of the spiritual symbol ‘Om’. BY a 20 minutes boat ride from Om beach, you can visit other beaches named Half-moon Beach, Paradise Beach, Kudle Beach. Most are isolated and at some beaches you won't see even a single soul at all. Karwar with gentle waves, miles of golden sand, a tranquil ambiance and acres of emerald foliage makes it a perfect holiday destination. On arrival check in to your hotel. After fresh n up visit The INS Warship Museum situated on the beautiful Rabindranath Tagore Beach. Warship Museum is a 245-ton ship which is remembered for its performance in the Indo-Pak war of 1971. On your visit to this museum, you can find several artefacts and collections which will give you a brief insight about the sea warfare. In addition to this, it is also home to several mannequins that are dressed as sailors, doctors, and captains. If you are a history lover, Warship Museum is one of the key places to visit in Karwar. This morning after breakfast you will be transferred to Goa and visit the famous Doodhsagar Waterfalls. Dudhsagar waterfall is amongst the five highest waterfalls in India. With a height of around 310 M (1017ft) and about 100ft in width. This gorgeous four-tier waterfall became more popular after its presence in the blockbuster movie-Chennai Express in 2013. It is now one of the most popular spots for tourists visiting Goa. By evening return back and check in to your hotel in South Goa. Rest of the day is free at your leisure. This morning after breakfast you can explore the gorgeous beaches of South Goa. The beaches here are less crowded and less commercial than those in the North Goa. This makes South Goa an ideal place to relax and rejuvenate before heading back from your vacation. Agonda and Patnem beaches are probably the least touristy of them all. The other popular beaches here are Colva, Palolem, Benaulim and Majorda. Palolem also hosts a silent party every weekend. You can also visit Basilica of Bom Jesus- a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Se Cathedral, Wax World Museum and Shri Manguesh Temple are some of the heritage sites & most interesting tourist places to visit in South Goa. This morning after breakfast you will be transferred to North Goa. On arrival proceed for North Goa Sightseeing. In north Goa, you can visit Calangute Beach, Baga Beach, Anjuna Beach, Candolim, Mandovi, Panjim, Fort Aguada & Dona Paula Beach. Calangute and Baga beaches are mostly overcrowded, so Mandrem, Aswem and Morjim are much better options. If you’re into water sports, visit Sinquerim and Candolim beaches. Aguada Fort and Chapora Fort are the two important architectural spots and both are close to Candolim and Vagator beaches respectively. At the famous Baga Beach you can enjoy water sports like Parasailing, Jet Ski, Banana riding, Kayaking & Speed boat rides. Baga Beach is a much quieter and less crowded beach in comparison to Calangute, in addition to being more developed. It is very famous for having one of the best night life in all of Goa. Calangute Beach has a lot to offer to tourists. The vibrant markets here sell everything, from beer and food, to junk jewelry, clothes, trinkets and pawn items. Moreover, the beach is lined with dense palm and coconut trees with the grand Arabian Sea acting as the perfect backdrop. You can visit Our Lady of Piety-one of the most famous churches in Calangute. St. Alex Church, boasting of magnificent architecture, with a white-coloured exterior. Kerkar Art Gallery, one of the most popular art galleries in North Goa. Besides the sunny beaches, North Goa also has a buzzing nightlife, some great flea markets and important architectural landmarks. If you reach here on a Wednesday, do head to the famous Wednesday market on Anjuna Beach.
